After settling in, we ventured out for a lovely afternoon stroll along the Grantham Canal. The scenery was calming, making it an ideal spot for leisurely exploration. One morning, I decided to pas on the complimentary breakfast, opting instead for a quaint spot called the Fuel Tank for brunch. Their sourdough avocado toast was a highlight, perfectly paired with locally roasted coffee, setting a nice tone for the day. Trust me, you'll want to explore nearby pubs, too; the Windmill pub in Redmile served a hearty meal after a lovely walk-definitely a recommendation for any visitor. After a day of wandering, we returned to the annex and slipped into the hot tub, which was invitingly warm. Nicky and Steve were incredibly accommodating, providing all the essentials for a self-catering stay. Their thoughtful touches certainly made a difference. It was a peaceful retreat, and I'll surely return-perhaps next summer for more adventures!
